Hey there folks,
I wanted to remind you of the Vimeo assignment from Wednesday and give you the writing assignment that I promised.
1. Vimeo Upload/POST: Create a Vimeo account and upload footage that you captured on the fly. Carry your camera with you, and if you see something funny, interesting, dramatic, or depressing.. post it to Vimeo and post it to this blog post. The point is to carry the camera with you for the next week. Do not post footage of anything on campus (aka… Don’t be lazy)
2. 2 Page Writing Assignment: Now that we’ve talked about Traditional Media and New Media. Think about the contrasts between the two. What makes them similar? What makes them different?
Write a two page essay on the two parallel industries (traditional/new media). How and why did the two industries begin? What was the atmosphere that made the industries successful? And finally, where do you see these two industries moving in the future? Which will be the most successful, or will they merge to form another form of media all together. Answer the questions above and reference specific events found in last weeks reading (link).
Readings will be handed in (as hard copies) at the beginning of class on Wednesday.

Tese Videos are the point of the project.. Great job. Notice how he did not see the camera until the very end? What’s the follow up? What was he hiding? He obviously was not an expert…
